Tata Motors chairman Ratan Tata on Thursday 10,January 2008 unveiled its dream peoples car named Nano.It has a 624 cc engine which offers 20 KMs a liter. The car is compliant with all major European environmental standards. During his public address,Ratan Tata claimed that the car would reduce the environmental pollution. Nano would be available from September 2008 onwards.It would be produced in two countries.The india plan would be situated in Singur. Nano is the cheapest car in the world with a dealer price of 1 lakh rupees. Even after 4 years of its announcement, Tata could offer it for the said price-"a promise is a promise!". Nano comes without an A/C. Initially there would be three models, all of which will be running on petrol.
